Network Drives Missing.  Unable To Install Application
I recently installed RC1, and I'm now trying to install some of the software which I used previously, and i've run into a problem. When I try to install one particular application, I get to the section of the install where it asks "Where can the data be found for the program?" The data, is on a network drive, but when I click the drop down box, I only see my local drives. No network drives. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get my network drives to show up in the drop down box? The drives are already mapped to drive letter J: or K:, but those drives are not available in the drop down box of the installer, only the local drives, A:-I:. Is there some kind of "Last Drive=" tweak that needs to be made? I'm pretty sure that the first time that I ran the installer, that my network drives were showing in the drop down box, but I had forgot to map the drive that contained the data folder for the application that I'm installing, so I stopped the installer, then re-mapped the network drives, and when i started the installer again, none of the network drives were available.

Try doing the following steps: Control Panel>Network and Sharing Center Turn on File sharing and Media sharing. Let me in the know. Good luck

Thanks for responding. I already had File Sharing, turned on, but not Media Sharing. I tried turning media sharing on, but it did not help. I remember that the Tweakui utility had a feature which allowed you to check a box and select which drive letters were available to the system. Do you know of away to do this without TweakUI? Maybe a registry tweak? I also noticed that in another network application that shows which drives are mapped, thatnomapped drives show up, even though I do have a couple mapped.

For anyone who may have a similar problem. Mine was sorted by installing RC2. Now, my network drives show up in the application mentioned.
